Exporting and Importing Passwords and Bookmarks from Chrome to Edge

Exporting from Google Chrome

Exporting Bookmarks:

1. Open Chrome.

2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

3. Navigate to Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager.

4. In the Bookmark Manager, click the three-dot menu again. 

5. Select Export bookmarks.

6. Choose a location to save the HTML file and click Save.

Exporting Passwords:

1. Open Chrome and go to chrome://settings/passwords.

2. Under Saved Passwords, click the three-dot menu next to the list.

3. Select Export passwords.

4. Confirm the action and enter your computer password if prompted.

5. Save the CSV file to a secure location.

Importing into Microsoft Edge

Bookmarks (Favorites):

1. Open Edge.

2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.

3. Go to Favorites > More options > Import favorites.

4. Choose Favorites or bookmarks HTML file from the dropdown.

5. Click Choose file, select the HTML file exported from Chrome, and click Open.

6. Click Choose file and fined your bookmarks file you exported and click it and they will import.

Passwords:

1. Open Edge and click the three-dot menu (?).

2. Go to Settings > Profiles > Passwords.

3. Click the three-dot menu in the Passwords section and select Import passwords.

4. Choose the source (Choose CSV file).

5. Find the CSV file that you exported and click Import.

6. Edge will notify you once the import is complete.
